Tools for Your Design

Latest LightTools SOLIDWORKS Link Module Adds Even More Flexibility

To facilitate a quicker path to optical simulations and grant design teams the ability to set more optical characteristics in the SOLIDWORKS environment, the LightTools SOLIDWORKS Link Module features optical property identifiers, ray data source linking, and SOLIDWORKS configuration selection.

Designing an Optical System? The SmartStart Library Can Help

The SmartStart Library is an extensive collection of optical data for commercially available glasses, plastics, and surface treatments that can be licensed for use in LucidShape, LucidShape CAA V5 Based, and LightTools. Datasets in the library provide a complete picture of how light behaves in the volume of a glass or plastic optic or how light interacts with a surface treatment.

CODE V Service Release

We are pleased to announce that CODE V 2022.03 Service Release 1 (SR1) is now available. This service release will run with CODE V 2022.03 license codes (available from SolvNetPlus).

The latest updates include:

  • Resolution of COM API issues where an incorrect working directory was created for COM CV Application when the file path contained spaces and the legacy COM CVCommand Type Library was not registered automatically as part of installation.
  • Resolution of Macro-PLUS Command issues where graphics could not be saved as EPS file, and the supplied UserINT.seq user-defined function had incorrect array dimensions on ^udi_data() that caused an abnormal exit from CODE V.
