Explore challenges and solutions in AI chip development
Synopsys Cloud is an advanced platform with robust features that can be leveraged to streamline chip design. Its modern web-based portal and innovative cloud-based solutions empower teams to be more productive when deploying and accessing EDA products, flows, and cloud infrastructure.
Explore how Synopsys Cloud is driving innovation and can elevate your success.
Synopsys Cloud eliminates the complexity of managing licenses and license servers in a fast, scalable, and fully automated way. Through a modern web interface, CAD managers can completely manage EDA licenses and access to them, including:
FlexEDA offers flexible licensing models – a term-based Cloud Subscription License and the industry’s first, patent-pending Pay-Per-Use licensing.
With the Synopsys Cloud platform, you can take advantage of advanced license management irrespective of where the compute environment is deployed:
Synopsys Cloud is built with security at its foundation. Key security features include:
The Synopsys Cloud hybrid solution enables design teams to burst EDA workloads to the cloud securely, seamlessly, and quickly. A designer simply submits EDA jobs to their scheduler on-prem and the secure hybrid solution takes care of the rest — leveraging cloud compute capacity as needed. The designer does not need to manually move any data from on-prem to the cloud environment for jobs that run on the cloud. Instead, all of the data needed and generated on the cloud is synchronized automatically in real-time between the cloud and on-prem and is available for analysis and debug.
ChipSpot helps reduce cloud compute costs by up to 70% by leveraging the cloud spot machine market effectively and efficiently. Cloud Service Providers (CSP) provide very short notice before spot machines are taken away. This time is typically insufficient to checkpoint a high memory EDA workload, so utilizing lower cost spot VMs can be difficult.
ChipSpot uses an AI-driven algorithm to solve this problem by predicting when spot machines will go away. It creates a virtual machine array optimized for each EDA tool which contains a mix of spot and on-demand VMs. Based on its predictions, the solution automatically migrates a running EDA workload to an on-demand VM in the VM array, thus reducing the chances of the workload being terminated. Once spot availability eases, the workload is migrated back to a spot VM in the array.
Synopsys ChipSpot has helped customers to save up to 75% off on-demand compute prices with 99.5% reliability.
