Join us for an insightful Synopsys webinar that takes a deep dive into the growing world of automotive semiconductors. As the numbers of Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) and Highly Automated Driving (HAD) chips increase dramatically, with constant Over-the-Air (OTA) updates and the emergence of Battery Electric Vehicles (BEV), numerous design challenges are faced by automotive semiconductors. Synopsys and CARIAD aim to tackle these challenges head-on.

This presentation will discuss the challenges automotive semiconductors face and explain the best practices to elevate semiconductor quality, functional safety, reliability, and security, all paramount requirements in today's automotive semiconductor scene. Understand the ongoing transformation of the automotive industry influenced by key factors like autonomous driving, connectivity, and electrification, and learn how these developments will impact semiconductor designs.

Heinz Wagensonner Headshot

Heinz Wagensonner

Manager, Audi Progressive Semiconductor Program
Audi (formerly CARIAD)

Heinz Wagensonner was a key driver of this collaboration while with CARIAD and continues to monitor the collaboration after his move to Audi where he recently joined the semiconductor robust design team. As semiconductor expert, he began his professional journey at Siemens Semiconductors, later moving to OSRAM OS as a Product Development Engineer. He spent 16 years at Continental, receiving the Continental Gold Award in 2008. In 2015, he became a Senior Technical Expert for Semiconductor Quality, and in 2021, he joined CARIAD as the Quality Lead for CARIAD Semiconductors in VW cars and moved to Audi in January 2024. He holds an engineering degree in Microsystem Technology from the University of Applied Sciences in Regensburg and earned a Master of Science in Electrical Engineering.
